Cambridgeshire & Peterborough LNRS – consultation now live
We are pleased to announce that the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Local Nature Recovery Strategy consultation survey is now open. Our public consultation will run from 18 July 2025 to 11 September 2025 and can be accessed at https://yourvoice.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/lnrs/consultation
1. What is the Local Nature Recovery Strategy?
The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) is a new legal requirement under the Environment Act 2021 — a practical plan to guide where and how we restore nature in our county.
It will:

- Identify key areas for restoring or enhancing nature
- Show where nature-based solutions can bring wider benefits like cleaner water, reduced flooding, and carbon capture
- Guide how public money is spent and how land use planning supports recovery
2. Learn More Before Responding:
