Councillor Hilary Cox Condron

Trustee

As a community artist for social and environmental justice Hilary works in creative ways across the county to connect people to nature and the environment, for social equality, for wellbeing, to envisage a better future and to instil a love of the nature on our doorsteps. She works in schools, galleries, museums and community centres. She is a Cambridgeshire County Councillor, where she is Vice-chair for Communities, Social Mobility and Inclusion.

Projects she has been involved in include the Cambridge Canopy Project, where she asked Cambridge City Council to commit to the Tree Charter; in collaboration with Cambridge Past, Present and Future, Hilary co-facilitated a forest of Imagination celebrating trees; she has worked on community outreach with the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and on Eco-Capabilities, an AHRC funded research project with Anglia Ruskin University. Hilary is a huge fan of Fenland and of Octavia Hill.
