Matthew’s career has been in land management and conservation, including 20 years as a farmer and consultant, providing practical and strategic advice to landowners, NGO’s and public bodies on environmentally friendly land management.

He was formerly Head of Nature Reserves and Deputy Director at Norfolk Wildlife Trust and Head of Operations at the Land Trust. For the last seven years, he has been Chief Executive of Nene Park Trust and its subsidiaries. Matthew also holds a number of non-exec positions, including Vice-Chair of the Broads Authority, Chair of the Peterborough Towns Fund Board, Director of University College Peterborough, Trustee of Metal and Co-Chair of the Peterborough Cultural Alliance.
