Rachel has a background in connecting people with wildlife through engaging communities in nature conservation, the provision of outdoor learning and environmental education to broad stakeholder engagement within the sector. She holds a BSc (Hons) Zoology and MSc Environmental Management for Conservation and Recreation.
She was previously a trustee of the Essex Wildlife Trust where she acted as a non-executive member of their Sales Board, and also brings experience from her work as former Head of Wildlife and Communities for The Wildlife Trust BCN as well as delivering a variety of biodiversity focused initiatives through her own consultancy company, Wild Play and Education.
Rachel is currently working with the University of Cambridge delivering their Biodiversity Action Plan where she engages with the University’s Ecological Advisory Panel and Cambridge Conservation Initiative. She has a wide network of contacts within the conservation sector within Cambridgeshire and is driven to volunteer for Natural Cambridgeshire to help drive change for our nature-depleted county.
